Child Care Services (CCS) assists with the cost of childcare for low
income, working families. Each applicant must meet eligibility requirements
and must not exceed income
guidelines.
- CCS can help you pay for childcare while you are working or in training.
- CCS can provide information about other programs within the Workforce
Solutions of Central Texas that might benefit you.
- CSS can give you the information to find a daycare center in your area.
How do you become eligible for the Child Care Services Program?
Each adult in the household must be working at least 30 hours per week.
During the period July 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010, the minimum eligibility
requirements are 25 hours per week.

Going to school full-time on campus*.
or
Working part time and going to school (on campus) part time.
AND
Total household income must not exceed the Workforce Board established income
guidelines.

1. You can contact our office - or click HERE to
obtain an Application.
The Application
(Form 2050-A) must be filled out completely.
Note: There are two ways to do this.
1. Using your mouse, right click on the above links and select "Save Target As" to save the form to your computer. You can then open it in your word processing software and print it on your printer.
2. Using your mouse, left click on the above links. That will open the form in a new window. Click on your browser's Print button to print the form.
(These processes are the same for all the CCS forms.)

2. Paternity/Child
Support Verification Form 2043. Please print out this form,
sign and date the top portion (Parent Permission for Release of Information).
Click HERE to
obtain the form. If you are not residing with your child's other biological
parent, then take Form 2043 to the Texas Office of the Attorney General
(OAG) for completion, Click HERE to obtain directions
to the local OAG office.
3. After the above forms (Application and
Paternity/Child Support Verification) are completed, bring them to one
of our offices. You must also bring the following documents with you
if applicable:
- Social Security cards for each family member
- Birth certificates for each child
- Four most recent pay stubs. Latest full month LES if military
- Bring award letter or other proof of SSI, GI Bill, or VA payments if applicable
- Transcript from every college attended
- Degree Plan/Training Plan
- Student Data Form
- Current class schedule
- Copy of child support court order and payment history, or proof of
an open child support case with the Texas Office of Attorney General
(OAG).
- A copy of your divorce decree
- Proof of separate households - utility bill or rental lease, if separated from spouse

Teen Parents
Teen parents may qualify for services if they are attending high school
or equivalent.
Eligibility is based on the Eligibility is based on the teen’s
income which must not exceed our income
guidelines.
Grandparents
In addition to meeting eligibility requirements, Grandparents must have proof of legal guardianship or custody of the child(ren) AND total household income must not exceed our income guidelines.
