Have you looked at the new national labor exchange web site, Job Central . It is the new partnership between private job sites and state workforce agencies.

Another new site to check for local and regional job postings is Indeed.com. The site is easy to navigate and user friendly with job postings not found in WorkInTexas.

Important !! If you search for information on filing for Unemployment Insurance on the web you will run accross several sites that offer to do it for you for a fee. DO NOT USE THESE SITES if you don't want to pay for filing. The only way to file for UI in Texas is through the Texas Workforce Commission's web site where there is no charge to file for UI.

FREE Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point classes. Upgrade your skills or learn new ones.

The classes are offered on Thursday mornings and on some Tuesdays in the Killeen Workforce Center. Classes are on a first come, first served basis. Classes begin at 8:30 am and end at 12:30 pm. Sign up at the first floor rotunda on the day you wish to attend. If you have a laptop computer with the Microsoft Office 2003 programs installed, you can bring your laptop to class and use it. 11 seats are available per class! Be early and get your seat! Sign up begins at 7:45am.
