Military Family Members...
Are you a military family member?
Did you PCS here with your military sponsor?
Did you quit your job to move here with your sponsor
as a result of his/her orders?
For the Civil Service layoff
grant...
Were or are you employed by the Department of Defense?
Did you receive a notice of layoff or notice of expected
layoff from Ft. Hood?
If
you can answer 'Yes' to the above questions, you probably
qualify for this program.

If you
feel that you qualify and want to apply for the program, please
have the following documents available when you apply.
For
military family members...
- Proof
of previous employment (paystub, letter from employer with dates of employment, etc.)
- Copy
of sponsor's military orders to Ft. Hood. Those dated prior
to Jan. 1, 2002 require special review and approval.
- Military
ID card with sponsor identified.
- Social
Security Card
- Birth
Certificate or Alien Registration card indicating right
to work.
- Proof
of Selective Service Registration or previous service (Males
born after Dec. 31, 1959 must have served in the military
or registered with selective service prior to their 26th
birthday).
For
Civil Service personnel...
- Notice
of lay-off or intent to lay-off
- Social
security card
- Driver's
License or other photo identification
- Birth
Certificate or Alien Registration card indicating right
to work.
- Proof
of Selective Service Registration or previous service (Males
born after Dec. 31, 1959 must have served in the military
or registered with selective service prior to their 26th
birthday.
