CRIME IS A COMMUNITY PROBLEM AND REQUIRES A COMMUNITY RESPONSE|
The community tends to wash its hands of the convicted felon sent to prison, thinking the problem has been solved, sent away never to return. Approximately 98 percent of those sentenced to the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice return to the community. Ex-offenders need employment opportunities to help support their families and to become contributing members of the community. They need your help and support.
